CUSTODY and DIVORCE: Judges assigned to hear Custody and Divorce cases in Family Court for 2024 will be Judge Lash, Judge Gavin, Judge Scheidt and Judge Bodor.  In addition, Judge Boyd will continue to hear some Custody cases associated with her Juvenile Dependency matters.  All of Judge Koestel’s pending cases are being reassigned to Judge Bodor and some of Judge Lash and Judge Boyd’s cases are being reassigned to Judge Scheidt. Please check your pending cases in the Prothonotary Case Management System to verify whether the Judge assignments stayed the same or changed.

FAMILY EMERGENCY MOTIONS, PFAs and SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT: The usual rotation for Family Emergency Motions, PFAs and Support Enforcement is: Monday – Judge Bodor; Tuesday – Judge Scheidt; Wednesday – Senior Judge Bucci; Thursday – Judge Boyd; and Friday – a rotation with Judge Bodor the 1st Friday; Judge Scheidt the 2nd Friday; Judge Gavin the 3rd Friday; Judge Boyd the 4th Friday; and Judge Boyd when there is a 5th Friday.  The Friday Judge will be handling Emergency Family Motions, walk-in PFAs and Support Enforcement, so we don’t plan to schedule Final PFAs for Fridays.  Senior Judge Ullman may also be filling in as needed.

ICC’s: Judge Scheidt will hear ICC cases on Thursdays.

COURTROOM ASSIGNMENTS:  For Family Court matters, Judge Lash will usually be in Courtroom 6; Judge Gavin will be in Courtroom 4A; Judge Scheidt will be in Courtroom 4E; Judge Bodor will be in Courtroom 4C or Courtroom 9; and Judge Boyd will be in Courtroom 9.  Check the daily Court Schedule on the Court Administration page of the County website or on the screen in the lobby of the Services Center to confirm where the Judges are sitting each day.
