Lawyers in Berks County gathered Tuesday to celebrate the legal system.

The Berks County Bar Association held its annual Law Day Luncheon at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown Reading. The theme for the event this year focused on how the Constitution bridges our individual differences and unites us as a nation.

The special guest speaker was Pennsylvania Secretary of Policy and Planning Akbar Hossain.

Law Day was first established in 1958 to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a better understanding of the legal system.
