A naturalization ceremony was held Wednesday where people from eight different countries of origin took their citizenship oath.

A majority of Berks County Bar Association members polled support retaining two Berks County judges in the Nov. 7 general election, according to the results of the association’s recent plebiscite.

The Board of Directors of the Berks County Bar Association proposes amending its Bylaws to address the suspension or loss of membership arising from the conduct of a member.

Executive Director Emeritus Donald F. Smith Jr. and Berks Bar members working to prevent homelessness in Reading could use more help. Attorneys who want to volunteer should contact the Bar Association or Don directly.
