Berks lawyers rate 3 judicial candidates in bar association poll

Jill Scheidt received the most highly recommended votes.

Berks lawyers have weighed in on the qualifications of the three candidates competing in the primary election to fill two vacant Berks County Court judgeships.

The Berks County Bar Association recently conducted a poll of its 518 active members regarding the candidates, each of whom also practices in Berks. A total of 267 of the members submitted responses, according to association Executive Director Kori Walter.

The Berks County Bar Association released on Tuesday the results of a poll, which asked members to rate the three candidates competing in the May 16 primary for nominations to serve as a Berks County Court of Common Pleas judge.
